Celebrate and Migumento are both QR photo albums for celebrations. Celebrate requires every guest to download an app before they can upload a photo. With us, the link or the QR code is enough, straight in the browser.

Celebrate is an app, not a link. Asked whether guests need the app, their own FAQ answers ‘Ja, deine Gäste müssen die App herunterladen und deinem Album beitreten’. Video is also only available with the subscription, at 14.99 euros a month or 39.99 euros a year.

Celebrate is a provider from Germany (celebrate.app); Migumento has no connection to Celebrate.

What Migumento stands for

Originals, not copies

Every item is stored exactly as it left the camera — up to 50 MB per photo and 1 GB per video, nothing shrunk. When you download it, you get back exactly that file.

An album that looks like your celebration

46 palettes in light and dark, 9 fonts, your own cover photo. Plus 23 table card templates, ten cards per A4 sheet, printed from the browser.

Uploads that arrive, even with no signal

If the connection drops, the upload picks up where it stopped — not from the start. The queue survives a restart and, with no signal, waits until there’s reception again.

Guests have nothing to install

Open the link, type a first name, upload — in any phone’s browser, in Deutsch, English, Français, Italiano, Español. No account, no password, no email invite.

Every plan does everything

Live Wall on the projector, 450 photo tasks for 9 occasions, several albums per event, every photo can be moderated — from the free plan up. The plan sets the size of the event, not the features.

Where Celebrate scores

Free with no end date. Celebrate says ‘die Bilder bleiben bei uns so lange gespeichert, bis du sie löschst oder du dein Konto bei uns löschst’, in the free Basis album too. With us, a free album stays open for 6 months; after that it needs a purchase, and nothing is deleted.
Photo originals free, at every event size. In the free Basis album, ‘du kannst so viele Fotos hochladen wie du möchtest’, uncompressed — with no threshold above which downloading the originals costs something. Video, though, is only available there with a subscription.

When Celebrate is the better choice

You’d rather have an installed app than a link in the browser, and a photo archive with no time limit appeals to you more than video from day one: Celebrate offers that on the free plan.
Your celebration will be large and you still want the originals to cost nothing: on its free plan Celebrate has no size threshold — ‘du kannst sie auch wieder in Originalqualität herunterladen’.

Migumento is free until the event grows past 400 MB

The free plan is not a trial run: all guests, all photos, all videos, the Live Wall — and up to 400 MB of event size you download the originals too, for 6 months. For bigger celebrations there are one-off plans with 12 or 24 months from the unlock. No subscription.

What does Celebrate cost, and what does Migumento cost?

Can I switch from Celebrate to Migumento?

Yes: download there, upload again here. There’s no automatic transfer.

Do our guests need an app or an account?

Not with us — the link is enough, and the first upload asks for a first name. And at Celebrate, without an app or an account? Guests have to install the Celebrate app; access is through an event code.

When does the access period start, and how long does the album stay online?

There: unlimited, until the user deletes the photos or the account. With us 12 or 24 months from the unlock (the day of payment), depending on the plan; if the free window — 6 months from the day you create the event — runs longer, the later date applies. Extending gives the plan’s months again from the day of the extension, as often as you like. Collecting is free, so the best time to unlock is after the celebration.

Is there a free Celebrate alternative?

Yes, Migumento. Creating an event, collecting, viewing and the Live Wall cost nothing, for 6 months, no card. You only pay for downloads above 400 MB or for more than 6 months online — a one-off payment, no subscription.

Do our photos and videos keep their quality?

Yes. We store every file unchanged, up to 50 MB per photo and 1 GB per video. When you download it, you get back exactly the file your guest uploaded.
